Sports / Trigger Massage With Michael Ransom

Our massage therapist Michael, has a wealth on knowledge and experience in techniques from across the globe, combining his knowledge and experience and patenting his own massage therapy style. 


The Complete Body Method aims to trace the original source of the muscle strain, and treat each area by deeply penetrating the muscles associated with the problem, this may include a range of stretches and bends of different body parts during therapy. Client may often experience pain from extreme muscle tightness and it is recommended that up to 3-4 sessions are required to maintain the cause of the problem and the symptoms.   


Pain often experienced within the body is from muscle miscommunication to the brain, sending signals of referred pain to another area of the body caused by a blockage in the system. A number of factors can cause regular over use of main muscle groups, some in which we are completely oblivious to - these include environmental factors, birth defects, lifestyle choices, career stressors, age and gender.

  • Be sure to shower prior to your appointment.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing. 
  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, this will help with muscle repair.
  • It is important to relax after your therapy to give your body enough time to heal and recover. 
  • Some clients will experience bruising, this will ease within one week
  • Sauna sessions are a great post massage choice, warming the core and assist in healing and relaxation.


Your practitioner will be able to guide you on a case by case basis - but you should go at least once per month, but as often as twice per week in severe pain situations. The longer you wait though, and the more often you'll start the process over of loosening up your muscles because they tense up if you don't go often enough
